Announcements and information about our customer advisory board can be found in our blog.
With the introduction of a customer advisory board, we once again took the path of innovation in the field of eCommerce. The basic idea is to have this committee work against the anonymity that is so prevalent on the Internet and to have our customers be included in the continuing development of plentymarkets. Our goal in programming the software is to have plentymarkets live up to our customers' expectations and demands. Since we do not actively sell items online ourselves, we are always trying to improve our product by listening to our customers and integrating their suggestions into the software. The customer advisory board was created with this in mind. Our goal is to have one central committee collect all of our users' ideas about how they would like plentymarkets to be developed, so that we can quickly and effectively turn these dreams into reality.
The customer advisory board was elected for the second time in 2012. Three candidates were chosen, who all have years of experience in eCommerce and in using plentymarkets. Moreover, they bring with them the skills and abilities that they acquired throughout their careers. The three customer advisory board members represent the interests of all our plentymarkets users. These three board members are: Daniel Bournot, Heinke Ostermann and Rene Kaltschmidt. We count on the practical experience of this committee to help us improve our software and make it even more user-friendly than before.
The very first customer advisory board meeting took place in May, 2011. This meeting was used to create by-laws, which serve as the basis for further cooperation. Additionally, the customer advisory board members were allowed to take a sneak peek at what was then the new version of plentymarkets and they were asked to provide us with suggestions for its improvement. The first meeting was unanimously viewed as a success and left us looking forward to further constructive meetings.
Mr. Bournot has nearly a decade of experience in online business. As a member of BVOH (German federal association of online sellers), he has made many contacts within the field of E-Commerce. Furthermore, he was one of the very first plentyUsers.
He currently sells his own brand of merchandise online and is the Chief Executive Officer of three different companies. All three systems are run with plentymarkets, which has given him comprehensive knowledge and experience in working with the software.
He wants to use his knowledge in order to bring constructive ideas to the customer advisory board and make the system even more user friendly.
Ms. Ostermann has been working with plentymarkets for 5 years and has gained a lot of valuable experience in using the software. Furthermore, she has provided technical consulting services for various plentymarkets online sellers. She is currently working as a freelance e-commerce consultant and provides plentymarkets users with advice and practical support.
Additionally, she can help customers set up their systems and program interfaces, which makes her a real pro when it comes to using plentymarkets. When working with the customer advisory board, her main goal is to listen to the demands and needs of other sellers, so that she can pass on meaningful requests for how the software should be developed.
Ms. Ostermann was a member of the customer advisory board in 2011 and engaged in discussions with other sellers, her consulting clients and plentymarkets in order to help further develop the system.
Mr. Kaltschmidt has been working in e-commerce since 2007, when he founded the online shop www.spreewald-praesente.de. Based on this experience, he also started the online shops www.spreewald-spezialitaeten.de and www.gourmeo24.com. Currently, Mr. Kaltschmidt works almost exclusively on managing these three multishops.
He is also an active participant in the forum. He supports other plentyUsers and stays in contact with them as a way to come up with constructive ideas for further developing plentymarkets.
As such, he is not only familiar with the needs of his own company, but also with those of other companies that offer different types of products. Additionally, Mr. Kaltschmidt has experience in computer programming, e.g. in helping to develop the price search engine preiseo.de.
