More than 800 participants joined us in the Kongress Palais Kassel on February 4th, 2012 and took part in the 5th annual plentyMarkets Online Sellers Congress. In keeping with the growth of previous years, our event grew even larger this time around. With more than 40 exhibitors and 35 specialized lectures, the plentyMarkets Online Sellers Congress has established itself as the best way for online sellers to kick-off the year.
We would like to use this opportunity to thank our customers, partners and all interested visitors. We hope that everyone was able to use the day as efficiently as possible and learn about current topics in e-commerce. We certainly enjoyed the day very much and particularly enjoyed the chance to talk with a large number of customers and collect a variety of ideas for developing plentyMarkets even further.

At the end of the day, the after party gave us the chance to celebrate with many participants of the congress. Some even kept the party going in local night clubs until the early morning.
We hope that we can welcome you all again next year and promise to prepare new highlights for you in 2013.

Lectures and workshops:

All of the lectures and workshops were very well-attended. There was particularly high demand for those related to eBay and Amazon as well as to businesses specializing in the areas for marketing and shop optimization.  Our special guest lectures were another highlight for most participants. Jochen Krisch gave a keynote speech about "the future of E-commerce". He predominantly discussed the fact that "women shop differently" and gave online sellers several new ideas to consider. Axel Gronen also gave a keynote speech in which he compared the largest online markets, above all eBay and Amazon.

Exhibition hall:

The exhibition hall was packed with hundreds of visitors who often used breaks between workshops as their chance to personally get in contact with numerous providers and explore the possibilities of collaboration in 2012. This year, we had a significantly larger number of exhibitions than we have had in the past. We are already planning to bring in more exhibitors next year and continue to expand the exhibition area even further.

plentyMarkets webshop award:

This year, the plentyMarkets webshop award was given to three lucks winners. As in previous years, the awards ceremony was conducted by Mr. Johannes Altemann, the CEO of Shoplupe. The winning shops fulfilled our criteria in the categories: look & feel, order process, navigation & prevalence and item details.
The lucky winners are: www.designseller.de (gold), www.pipa-schuhe.de (silver) and www.trendbad24.de (bronze). Once again, congratulations to all of the winners.

Open house:

Many customers, visitors and partners took advantage of the opportunity to have a look around our company headquarters on Friday. This way, visitors could see for themselves how much plentyMarkets has grown. Two years ago, we began renting a single floor within an office complex. This single floor has now turned into four, and we have made our presence known by adding neon signs to the building's exterior.
